The name Lazarus Kambole is a name that has steadily grown over the past seasons and built a reputation of its own.

Lazarus Kambole as a player was seen to many as a replacement to Winston Kalengo when he left to join Congolese side Leopards as Kambole received the jersey number 10 to help further his cause, however, that did not seem to workout as he rarely found himself in the starting 11 and when he did poor performances were the order of the day.

The Zesco forward wasn’t a regular until last season when he found a rich vein of form assisting and scoring goals for his club proving that he is more than just a replacement but more. Kambole’s form for Zesco United resulted in him getting his first call-up to the Chipolopolo representing the nation at the CHAN tournament in Morocco where he continued his form from club level as he grabbed 2 goals and a man of the match award.

This season has been no different as he seems to have continued his rich vein of form in the league with 4 goals so far; making him the Zambian national with the most goals and his performances have seen him win the fans player of the month of April for Zesco United.
